Swahili Calendar is a lunar calendar base on the Islamic calendar.  It contains 7 days.

Alhamisi (Thursday)
Ijumaa (Friday)
Jumamosi (Saturday)
Jumapili (Sunday)

Months


Twelve Swahili months exist. There are traditional terms and non-traditional terms from English. The only terms from the Islamic Calendar are Rajabu (mwezi wa saba, 7th month), Shabani (mwezi wa nane, 8th month), and Ramadhani( mwezi wa tisa, 9th month). The Swahili months do not correspond to the months of the Islamic Calendar.
