BRVM (Bourse Regionale des Valeurs Mobiliere, http://www.brvm.org/) is the regional market for French speaking West African countries-Bénin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) ,Niger, Mali, Sénégal, and Togo, and Portuguese speaking Guinnea Bissau. As of June 8, 2013, 36 companies were listed on the exchange. Most companies listed were from Ivory Coast. Sonatel, a Senegalese telecommunications company, is the largest in terms of market capitalization, followed by Societe de Limonaderies et Brasseries d’Afrique, a beverage maker in Senegal.
