Berbers are the native population of Northwest Africa or Maghrib(Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya). The Berber language is a sub-group of the Afroasiatic language, which includes Ancient Egyptian to later Coptic, Tigrinya, Amharic, Oromo, Hausa, Somali, and Arabic. The Berber male marker common in North African males makes the Berber related to all other African males, linked via a common ancestor. The Berber marker is a native African marker not a Eurasian marker, which it gets classified as a priori. Berbers get classified into five categories-- Shilha, Kabyle, Tuareg, Shawiya, Mzab. The Shilha are found in Morocco and includes the Tamazight, Sousi, and Riff; the Kabyle into Shawiya and Mzab in Algeria; and the Tuareg divided into Tayert and Tawellemenet both found in Niger and Bella in Mali.
