Halle Berry

Halle Berry (Halle Maria Berry) is an African-American hollywood actress, born August 14, 1966 in Cleveland Ohio, United States. She is the highest paid African-American actress since 2004.









Early Life


Her parents were African American father, Jerome Berry and caucasian mother Judith Ann Hawkins, a British(liverpool) psychiatric nurse. Her parents divorced, when she was four years old. She grew up in Oakwood Village, Ohio and has an older sister  Heidi Berry and paternal half-sister Renee Berry. Halle was a very driven teenager. She attended Heskett Middle School in Bedford Heights, Ohio. During high school, she was in the honor society, class president, editor of the school paper, and prom queen. She was also a Bearcat cheerleader. She won Miss Teen All American in 1985 and Miss Ohio USA in 1986.

Halle's relationship provided fodder for the tabloids. She has been married 3 times. She was married to David Justice from December 31, 1992 - June 24, 1997,  Eric Benét from  January 24, 2001 - January 3, 2005. Gabriel Aubry was married to Halle  from November 2005 to April 2010,  who she had a child with, Nahla Ariela Aubry. She is now engaged to Olivier Martinez. Halle has multiple residence. She mainly resides in Malibu and Los Angeles, but has a residence in Saint-Hypolite, Quebec Canada. 

Career


Halle got her first acting experience on the television weekly series Living Dolls in 1989. Her career took off after she played a crack addict in Spike Lee's film Jungle Fever in 1991 and later co-starred with Eddie Murphy in the movie Boomerang in 1992. She solidified her status as a serious actress in 1999 by winning a Golden Globe in the cable series Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. Halle became more of a household figure by playing Storm, a mutant, in the box office hit X-men.
