Hausa Common Names

Hausa is a west african ethnique found in the Sahel. They comprise one of the largest ethniques in northern Nigeria and were founders of the Hausa city states. Judge Hatchet (Glenda Hatchet --celebrity judge) has genetic ancestral link to the Hausa Ethnic.  Many Africans in the western Sahel have Africanized Arabic first name--Hausa, Wolof , Mandinka, Fula , Songhai , etc.  The Hausa language is part of the Chadic branch of the Afroasiatic language family. The Hausa language belongs to the West Chadic branch of the Afro-Asiatic family. The Hausa language is a lingua franca or widely spoken in West Africa.
