Jukun State is an African state that existed north of the Benue River, a tributary on the Niger River. It became strong in the late 1300s. Jukun State was strong enough to pose a threat to the Hausa Kingdom of Zaria. Very little is known of the kingdom. Her state craft could have been imported from the Yoruba states.
