Leila Lopes

Leila Lopes (Leila Luliana da Costa Vieira Lopes) is the Miss Universe pageant winner of 2011. She is the first Angolan to win the title and the second African to win the pageant. She surpassed 89 contestant, including the first runner-up Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine; second runner-up, Miss Brazil Priscila Machado.

Ms. Lopes was born on February 26, 1986, in Benguela, Angola to Cape Verdean immigrants. She is 1.79m ( 5ft 10 1/2 in) tall, dark hair, and dark brown eyes. 

She has residence and was a Business Management major in Great Britain. She won the Miss Angola Uk in 2011, Miss Angola held in Luanda on December 18, 2011. Then on Monday Sept. 12, 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she won the Miss Universe, and crowned by Ximena Navarrete of Mexico.
