Teff is a grain that is used in making injera bread. Teff is an Amharic word meaning "loss". It comes from the grains of the annual lovegrass group, genus Eragrostis. The plant was domesticated in 4000 BCE in Ethiopia. Teff is is a good source of amino acid, iron, and calcium. Red teff is easy to grow but is not as nutrition rich as other variety. Teff is gluten free.
