Zika Virus is a virus that was discovered in 1947, in Uganda. The virus manifest itself in few individuals. Only one in five infected individuals shows symptoms. Symptoms include: fever, rash, joint pain, or red eyes(red itchy eyes). Although Zika can be benign, in pregnant women it is deadly. It causes microcephaly in babies, a condition that causes a baby's head to be small, with an under-developed brain. The virus is spread by mosquitoe bites. Mosquitoe breeds that are known to carry dengue fever and yellow fever, are known carriers.
